"I am learning to get on a higher level. I find it tricky to read the books. I find it do the games and log in.  My goal is to finish reading eggs and start Reading Eggspress."

"We are learning to find the answers in the book. It is easy to answer questions where the answer is in the book. It is sometimes hard to answer questions where the answer isn’t in the book (Inference Questions) "

We Are Learning To read with fluency and expression.

Every week we learn a new poem that we take home to share with our families. We worked with our group to pick our favourite and practised reading it.

"I am learning to read the poem. I am proud of myself for knowing the words. It can be tricky to read the poem."

I am learning to identify punctuation.

"I am learning to read and sound out the words.  I know how to say what happens at the beginning and middle and end of the story.  It is hard to read the big words, not 'Kingfisher' because I have read the book before, but it is hard to read the other big words. My Mum helps me at home, and Mrs Wyatt helps me at school sometimes."

I am learning to identify a sentence, for eg, the beginning with capital letters and the end with full stops.

"I am finding letters that go with cat.  It wasn't hard to find the letters. I did it all by myself. I felt great when I finished."

I am learning to point to each word as I read it

In Reading we have been learning lots of things to help 

us to work out new letter sounds and words.

"I like the last page because the kitten is up in the tree with the girl" William said.
