I am learning to write and use a range of simple words.

"I find it hard to remember to do my full stops.  I am good at writing the letters that I hear in my mouth.  Sometimes my friends and Mrs Wyatt helps me with my writing."

I am learning to identify a sentence, for eg, the beginning with capital letters and the end with full stops.

"I am finding letters that go with cat.  It wasn't hard to find the letters. I did it all by myself. I felt great when I finished."

We are learning that patterns 1-5 are recognised instantly.

"I can count the counters, and they equals 5."
