Building with Bunnings

"Building the truck was lots of fun.  I put red, blue, brown and green paint on my truck.  I used nails and glue and screws."

I am learning to point to each word as I read it

In Reading we have been learning lots of things to help 

us to work out new letter sounds and words.

"I like the last page because the kitten is up in the tree with the girl" William said.

I am learning to attempt to write my idea in a sentence that makes sense and re-read my story to the teacher

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like writing our ideas in a sentence and writing some sounds in words.

"I can sound out tricky words" William said.

Chinese Dragon

We have been learning about different celebrations this term.  This is my Chinese dragon.  I was learning to make the body shape look like a dragon and cut out the different dragon shapes.

"I liked to cut out the different shapes and the dragon spikes."

Tens Frame Patterns

We have been learning to draw number patterns to five on our tens frames.

"It was tricky for me to draw the patterns six and seven".

I am learning to read in the correct direction

In Reading we have been learning lots of things to help 

us to work out new words, and learning new letter sounds.

"I can point to words" William said.

I am learning to start writing on my own

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like letters, drawing a picture that matches our story and also remembering to do finger spaces between words. 

"I like doing finger spaces between words" William said.
